Clawdbot: a look at the next step in AI

clawdbot ai

AI is developing at lightning speed. Last week there was a lot of buzz about Calwdbot. Whereas over the past year we have mostly seen smart assistants like Microsoft Copilot help us with texts, emails and analytics, yet another new development is already emerging: AI Agents. One of the better known examples of this is Clawdbot.

In this blog, we explain what Clawdbot is, what it can do and why it is especially interesting to follow right now - but not yet widely deployed within your organization.

What is Clawdbot?

Clawdbot is a so-called AI agent. This means that it not only answers questions, but can also perform actions independently. Consider:

  • Going through steps in an application
  • Opening websites or systems
  • Performing simple tasks without continuous human input

Whereas many AI tools today are mostly thinking and advising, Clawdbot actually tries to do things manageable.

What can Clawdbot do (in theory)?

Clawdbot is designed to automate tasks normally performed by an employee. For example:

  • Retrieve information from different sources
  • Performing simple operations in web applications
  • Going through processes step by step based on instructions

That sounds promising. Especially for organizations looking at further automation of repetitive work.

But: why is it not smart to use right now?

As interesting as the development is, Clawdbot is still clearly in a experimental phase. In practice, we see several key concerns:

  • Limited reliability - the agent still regularly makes mistakes
  • Unpredictable behavior - small changes can have big impact
  • Security and compliance questions - Not appropriate within ISO and privacy frameworks
  • No mature integration With existing business environments such as Microsoft 365

For SME organizations, where continuity, security and predictability are crucial, this is too great a risk at the moment.

Why do we follow this development?

At Analyst ICT, we believe in: first think, then do. This means that we do not adopt new technology blindly, but rather actively monitor and analyze it.

AI agents like Clawdbot show where the market is moving:

  • From AI that thinking along
  • To AI that acts

It is likely that this functionality will return to mature platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and other business solutions in the coming years - but secure, manageable and integrated into your work environment.

What does this mean for you as a customer?

For now, our advice is clear:

  • Use AI where it adds value today, such as Microsoft Copilot
  • Experiment controlled, within safe frameworks
  • Keep an eye on new developments, but avoid being ahead of the curve with immature technology

We follow these developments closely and translate them into practical and reliable advice appropriate to your organization.

In conclusion

Clawdbot is not a tool to be deployed today, but it is a clear signal of where AI is going. And that is precisely why we think it is important to bring you into this now.

What are quantum computers? And why is everyone suddenly talking about them?
Chances are you've been hearing more and more about quantum computers in recent months. In the news, on LinkedIn, or perhaps even during conversations about AI and cybersecurity. Especially now that a Dutch chip developer is gaining global attention with a new generation of quantum chips, the technology suddenly seems closer than ever. But what exactly is a quantum computer? And why is so much expected of it? From Ordinary Computer to Quantum Computer To understand quantum computers, it's helpful to first look at how a normal computer works. A traditional computer — like your laptop or server — works with bits. A…

With our feet in the mud
Here we are. Not quite recognizable anymore, thanks to AI trying to protect children. Understandable, of course. But believe us: these really are Berry and Frank. More than ten years apart, but in reality, we've always been brothers from another mother. And what do we have in common? A lot... and at the same time, almost nothing. Berry is often the good cop. Calm, down-to-earth, and always working to get things done. I'm usually the bad cop. Direct, critical, and always looking for ways to improve. But that combination is precisely what works. What completely unites us, though, is our love for...

MacAdmins Meeting: What's relevant for your organization?
Last week, we attended the MacAdmins Meeting in Leiden. It's a gathering focused on Apple administration, security, and innovation. What stood out? Developments are moving fast. But more importantly: they are becoming increasingly relevant for SMEs. We'd like to share the key insights with you. What's happening? And what does that mean for your organization? Running AI Locally: Control Over Data and Costs AI is now everywhere. But one question remains central: where does your data reside? A significant topic during the meeting was running AI models (LLMs) locally. Instead of relying on external cloud platforms, more and more...
