InfraTech 2025 or construction fair!

Infratech 2025

It's been a few weeks, but the day began with... “What are you going to do?” “I'm going to the InfraTech 2025 together and on behalf of our client Groenen Groep.” No one quite understood. But once there, we were on a mission. Namely, it was decided to get started with InfraWorks from BouwInfoSys at a client of ours. And at this fair, a demo of the web version was on display.

I had expected maybe 4 or 5 stands about ICT, but it was a bit different. There was a lot of choice from all kinds of different software parties and I was able to learn a lot about “measurement software”, “drawing software”, “calculation software”, “track and trace systems for vehicles and tools” and all kinds of different ERP packages for construction-related companies.

At the booth of BuildingInfoSys we were well received and I enjoyed looking at the web version and its features. But I was actually most surprised by the software package “Probouws”. We have many customers in construction and installation engineering and here we often encounter the familiar names like Bouw7, Syntess or ENK. But that “Probouws” surprised us tremendously. Simple project management, scheduling, time writing, app functions, subscriptions, etc. Which can be a great replacement for these software packages.

More and more often we are asked to help with a software selection for our clients. Whether it is a choice for an industry-specific ERP package, a financial package or a package that, for example, does inventory management. We then start at the beginning and that is not the technology, but the business processes: how do they work, how do they want to work and finally the question of which software fits this best.

Can we help your organization make a choice or work with the vendor to ensure a seamless implementation? If so, please contact with us. Super logical right?

To conclude a tile wisdom shared by the Heijmans company, at least we completely agree. Thanks for this

What are quantum computers? And why is everyone suddenly talking about them?
Chances are you've been hearing more and more about quantum computers in recent months. In the news, on LinkedIn, or perhaps even during conversations about AI and cybersecurity. Especially now that a Dutch chip developer is gaining global attention with a new generation of quantum chips, the technology suddenly seems closer than ever. But what exactly is a quantum computer? And why is so much expected of it? From Ordinary Computer to Quantum Computer To understand quantum computers, it's helpful to first look at how a normal computer works. A traditional computer — like your laptop or server — works with bits. A…

With our feet in the mud
Here we are. Not quite recognizable anymore, thanks to AI trying to protect children. Understandable, of course. But believe us: these really are Berry and Frank. More than ten years apart, but in reality, we've always been brothers from another mother. And what do we have in common? A lot... and at the same time, almost nothing. Berry is often the good cop. Calm, down-to-earth, and always working to get things done. I'm usually the bad cop. Direct, critical, and always looking for ways to improve. But that combination is precisely what works. What completely unites us, though, is our love for...

MacAdmins Meeting: What's relevant for your organization?
Last week, we attended the MacAdmins Meeting in Leiden. It's a gathering focused on Apple administration, security, and innovation. What stood out? Developments are moving fast. But more importantly: they are becoming increasingly relevant for SMEs. We'd like to share the key insights with you. What's happening? And what does that mean for your organization? Running AI Locally: Control Over Data and Costs AI is now everywhere. But one question remains central: where does your data reside? A significant topic during the meeting was running AI models (LLMs) locally. Instead of relying on external cloud platforms, more and more...
