Microsoft 365 is getting more expensive. What does this mean for your organization?

Microsoft

Microsoft has announced that per July 1, 2026 prices of virtually all Microsoft 365 and Office 365 business licenses are increasing. The increases range from a few percent to more than 25%, depending on the type of license.

This is no small change. Certainly not for organizations with many users.

But the good news? You don't have to worry about this yourself.

What exactly is changing?

Below is a summary of the most important announced price changes:

License Indicative increase
Microsoft 365 Business Basic +16,7%
Microsoft 365 Business Standard +12%
Microsoft 365 Business Premium 0% (no increase for now)
Office 365 E3 +13%
Microsoft 365 E3 +8,3%
Microsoft 365 E5 +5,3%
Microsoft 365 F1 / F3 (Frontline) +25% to +33%

Please note that price increases apply to renewals or new contracts after July 1, 2026. Exact euro prices may vary by region.

Microsoft links these increases to expanded functionality. These include additional security capabilities, compliance enhancements and further integration of AI functionality within Microsoft 365.

What does this mean for your organization?

For many SMEs, this simply means: higher monthly IT costs if nothing is done.

And therein lies precisely the difference between managing it yourself or working with a Managed Service Provider.

We see in practice that licenses often:

  • No longer connecting to an employee's role
  • Being heavier than necessary
  • Unnecessarily keep running
  • Or, on the contrary, are too limited in their design

That costs money. And sometimes security and compliance risks.

How we arrange this for you

At Analyst ICT, we never let licenses “just go on and on.”.

  • We actively monitor your license structure
  • We periodically check that users still have the correct package
  • We make sure you don't pay for what you don't use
  • We look ahead at contract renewals
  • We proactively advise on price changes

We don't do that only when the bill gets higher. We do that structurally.

Our approach is simple: analyze first, then optimize.

Why this is important right now

With these announced price increases, license management becomes even more relevant. A few wrong choices can quickly save 50 or 100 users thousands of euros per year.

By analyzing in a timely manner, we can:

  • Planning extensions smartly
  • Determining the right mix of licenses
  • Making budgets transparent
  • Optimize costs without compromising safety

In this way, we keep a grip on costs and ensure that your workplace remains safe and future-proof.

No hassle with licensing

ICT should provide peace of mind. No worries about subscriptions, renewals or unclear invoices.

We are keeping up with developments.
We calculate scenarios.
We make sure you are comfortable.

That's unburdening as it's meant to be.

Want to know what this price increase means concretely for your organization? We would be happy to walk you through your current licenses through and give clear understanding.
