Sometimes things come together in a special way.
Last week we were in Egypt. A country with a rich history, impressive culture, and – perhaps less known – a rapidly growing digital market. What struck us immediately: Egypt doesn't have an official Apple Store yet. And yet, Apple is clearly present there.
Not via the well-known flagship stores, but via strong local partners.
iStorm in Cairo
One of those partners is iStorm, an Apple Premium Reseller with multiple locations in Egypt. And that's precisely where our personal connection lay.
During our visit to Cupertino earlier this year, we met people from iStorm. That contact proved valuable, because once in Cairo, we were warmly welcomed at their store. It wasn't a standard visit, but truly a conversation between peers who share the same passion: making technology understandable and accessible.
And that felt familiar. Even if you're on the other side of the world.
King Avenue Mall: Modern Egypt
The iStorm store we visited is located in the King Avenue Mall in Cairo. A modern shopping mall that clearly shows where Egypt is heading.
Where you might think of pyramids and history, here you see:
- modern architecture
- International brands
- a young, digital target audience
The mall is part of the new urban developments around Cairo, where there is significant investment in innovation and lifestyle. iStorm fits perfectly into this: a sleek, accessible store where the Apple experience is central.
No Apple Store, but the same experience
What struck us: even without an official Apple Store, the experience is spot on.
The design, the way of advising, the focus on experience and service — it feels immediately recognizable. That is the strength of the Apple ecosystem. The same quality and the same idea all over the world:
Technology must work for people. Not the other way around.
What we recognize in this
At Analyst ICT, we believe in that too.
Whether it's in the Netherlands or in Egypt:
- People don't want complicated IT.
- organizations just want it to work
- and users want a workspace that feels logical
What we do – making IT simple and human – we saw that reflected here on a different scale, in a different culture, but with the same foundation.
Globally connected
This visit once again made clear to us how strong the Apple network is. From Cupertino to Cairo: the same vision, the same quality, the same focus on the user.
And perhaps even more importantly: the same people.
Ultimately, it's not about the technology, but about the people behind it.
