Setting up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the Outlook app for Windows

Follow these instructions to set up your Microsoft 365 mailbox set up for your Outlook app on your Windows laptop or desktop

  1. Open your Outlook app
  2. Go to “File” >” Info” > “Account information”
  3. Click on “+add account”
  4. Enter your information:
  5. Your name: Enter your name as you want it to appear to recipients of your emails. Usually your first name and last name.
  6. Email address: Enter your email address
  7. Password: Enter your password
  8. Click on “Advanced Options ” > “I want to set up my account manually”
  9. From the various options, choose “Exchange”
  10. Enter your password
  11. The message appears: “... Everything is being prepared.” Wait a moment.
  12. If all goes well, your account is ready

 

Setting up your Outlook for Mac 2011.

  1. Go to “Tools” > “Accounts.”.
  2. Click the plus sign at the bottom left of the screen.
  3. Choose “Exchange” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Enter your e-mail address.
  5. Under Method, choose Username and Password.
  6. Under username, again enter your address.
  7. Enter your password.
  8. Automatic configuration should be set to ON.
  9. Click on “Add Account.”.
  10. Let our servers configure your Outlook.

 

Setting up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the Outlook app for iOS

Follow these instructions to set up your Exchange email in the Outlook app on your iOS mobile device (iPhone or iPad)

  1. Open the Outlook app
  2. Enter your Microsoft 365 mail address and tap “Add Account”
  3. Enter your Password and tap “Advanced Settings”
  4. In the next screen, enter:
  5. Your full email address should be filled in automatically
  6. At “Password” repeat your strong password
  7. At “Description” enter something that makes this account clear to you
  8. Under “Server” enter outlook.office365.com
  9. At “Username” enter your full email address
  10. Tap “Login”

 

 

Setting up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the Mail app for Windows 10

Follow these instructions to set up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the default Mail app on your Windows 10 laptop or desktop

  1. Open the standard Windows 10 mail program
  2. If this is the first account you are setting up, click “+Add Account” in the welcome window
  3. If you already have other accounts and the welcome window has not appeared, click on the cogwheel at the bottom left. To the right of your screen, the “Settings” menu will appear. Click on “Manage Accounts,” and you will see the “+Add Account” button appear.
  4. From the list of options, choose “Exchange”
  5. Fill your complete enter email address and click “Continue”
  6. Enter your password
  7. Click on “Sign In”
  8. You're done. Do wait a moment to have your e-mail settings synchronized.

 

Setting up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the iOS mail app

Follow these instructions to set up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the default iOS Mail app.

  1. Tap “Settings”
  2. Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
  3. Tap “Add account”
  4. Select” Exchange”
  5. Enter your full Office 365 email address and password
  6. Tap “Next”
  7. Enter:
  8. At Server: outlook.office365.com
  9. For Username: your full email address naam@domein.be
  10. By password: the password for your account
  11. Tap “Next”
  12. Please wait until your information is verified
  13. Select the services you want to sync with your iPhone or iPad
  14. Open the Mail app on your phone to view your new mail account.

 

Setting up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the Outlook app for iOS

Follow these instructions to set up your Exchange email in the Outlook app on your iOS mobile device (iPhone or iPad)

  1. Open the Outlook app
  2. Enter your Microsoft 365 mail address and tap “Add Account”

Follow these instructions to set up your Exchange e-mal in the default Mail app on your Android smartphone or tablet

  1. Open your app “Settings”
  2. Tap “Accounts”
  3. At the bottom tap “Add Account”
  4. Select “Exchange”
  5. Enter your Microsoft 365 Exchange email address and password.
  6. Tap “Microsoft Exchange Active Sync.” Android will now attempt to retrieve your server settings.
  7. Can you do that? Fine, you're done.
  8. Does that not work and you get the message “Setup could not connect to server”? Then choose manual configuration:
  9. Enter under server: outlook.office365.com
  10. Under email address, enter: your full email address
  11. Enter your password
  12. Click on “Login”
  13. Name your account and you're done!

 

 

Setting up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the Outlook app for Android

Follow these instructions to set up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the Outlook app for Android (smartphone or tablet)

  1. Open the Outlook app
  2. Go to the home screen (tap the envelope at the top left) and in the bar on the left, tap “Add Account”
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address
  4. Tap “Continue”
  5. When your app can retrieve your data from Exchange, the Office 365 login screen appears.
  6. Enter your password - and you're done!
